Gwyn (Winter 1182). Grog. A miserable soul with an uncanny knowledge of the weather. Retired from service (aged 50).

Eadhild (Winter 1181). Captain of the Grogs. A strong willed woman who achieved her aim of showing that her sex could be as staunch a warrior as a man. Died of old age having refused to retire (aged 57).

Harald (Winter 1181). Grog Sergeant. A likeable man. Died of old age (aged 42).

Peter (Autumn 1181). Grog. A lay preacher who started a small Christian sect at the covenant. Slain by Pirates en route to Iberia (aged 25).

Andrew (Spring 1123). Holy Warrior. Once the companion of Godwin he also aided the Magus Cornelius and was blinded by a Daemon. Retired to monastery in the Weald (aged 43).

Lucian (Spring 1122). Amicus to Antonius. A fine servant to both the magus and on many occasions the covenant. Poisoned on Astrius' orders after being released from the fells imprisonment (aged 33).

Isaac the Jew (Spring 1119). Merchant. Successful despite bigotry he provided several books for the covenant. Died in his sleep (aged 42).

Eanfled (Winter 1118). Faerie Fox and Grog. Fondly regarded by all the magi he is immortalised by the covenant's Tavern 'The Fox and Chicken'. Entered the realm of Eversummer.

Mara (Winter 1108). Grog. She died from the infection caused by an arrow that struck her during the battle of Ruaridh, Cassitus and Caisus with a magus of the un-named house (aged 19).

Pierre Tillon (Winter 1108). Scribe. A wild youth gave way to maturity after his marriage to Ceadwith. Died in his sleep.

Thurstan (Winter 1105). Castellan. A great warrior and a great leader he was perhaps the greatest of the covenant's Castellans. Slain by the Black Stag during the attack of the un-named house (aged 38).

Triawc (Winter 1105). Grog Champion. A mighty warrior, with a mind as slow as his strength was great. Killed by a giant Shadow Wolf while leading the recovery of the grogs during the attack of the un-named house (aged 33).

Dafyd (Winter 1105). Grog Sergeant. A Welsh Bard who led his men through kindness. Slain by Shadow Wolves during the attack of the un-named house (aged 37).

Evan (Winter 1105). Grog Sergeant. In 1104 lost an arm holding the door to the Great Hall against a Griffin. Slain by Shadow Wolves during the attack of the un-named house (aged 29).

Oscytel (Winter 1099). Castellan. One of the original sergeants, Oscytel was a fearsome and often brutal man, but crucial during Severn Temple's early years. Died in his sleep (aged 43).

Pybba (Winter 1098). Grog. A genial, obese man (once turned into a fat brown bear) but still an accomplished warrior. Much loved by all within the covenant. Died in his sleep (aged 44).

Wulfstan Half-Face (Summer 1098). Grog Archer. A prodigious shot and, with Byrhtnoth, perhaps Severn Temple's finest shot. Infected with a strange form of Leprosy when on an expedition to a barrow in the Forest of Dean (aged 31).

Cythylan (Winter 1097). Grog. Killed by Giant Spiders in the Faerie Regio.

Byrhtnoth (Summer 1097). Grog Sergeant. An archer and tracker, Byrhtnoth was regarded as one of the covenant's finest and once repelled the Radulfus daemon, saving Jean and Ruaridh. Killed by a Giant Spider while defending Turold (aged 35).

Cair (Spring 1097). Eadric's Gang. Formerly a grog, cast out of the covenant for deserting Ruaridh. Slain by Brygthwold in the dark cellar of a Gloucester inn (aged 34).

Raegnald (Autumn 1096). Grog. A morose loner. Tortured to death by fells in Gloucester without revealing any of the covenant's secrets (aged 39).

Llefelys (Spring 1095). Grog. Mistakenly shot by Wulfstan during the battle with the Wyrm of Bryn Mawr (aged 22).

Aelfwold (Autumn 1093). Grog Sergeant. An archer and tracker he was brother of Osric. Struck by lightning during a great storm (aged 43).

Vaesic (Autumn 1091). Reeve of the Dean. A noble and just man. Slain in single combat by Clydoc, High Prince of Wales, while defending the keep of Gloucester Castle (aged 33).

Maccus (Autumn 1091). Earl of Gloucester's Fool. Hanged by Clydoc of Wales after insulting him and his family (aged 28).

Cadog (Autumn 1091). Grog Champion. Strong, violent and reckless Cadog was perhaps the ultimate Severn Temple grog. Slain on the field of battle whilst leading the Welsh charge against Earl Robert of Gloucester (aged 40).

Gruffydd (Summer 1091). Grog Archer. Deserted the covenant to join the Welsh rebellion; his fate remains unknown (aged 29).

Dai (Summer 1091). Grog Archer. Deserted the covenant to join the Welsh rebellion; his fate remains unknown (aged 24).

Owyn (Summer 1091). Grog. Deserted the covenant to join the Welsh rebellion; his fate remains unknown (aged 27).

Ceredig (Summer 1090). Eadric's Gang. Friend of Maccus. Ambushed and slain in Gloucester by fells, his body was briefly possessed by a spirit (aged 27).

Arnulf (Summer 1090). Eadric's Gang. Ambushed and slain in Gloucester by fells (aged 28).

Huw (1089). Slain by Bryghtnoth (aged 22).

Ynwyl (1089). Slain by Wulfstan (aged 20).

Cynfawr (Autumn 1089). Priest of the Morrigan. Slayer of Jean de Caen. Hunted down and killed by Idris (aged 24).

Guillame (Autumn 1089). Diabolic Consortis to Jean. Slain by Alain after being drive insane by his diabolic mentor (aged 25).

Alain (Autumn 1089). Diabolic Consortis to Jean. Killed himself after being drive insane by his diabolic mentor (aged 29).

Eadberht (Summer 1088). Grog. Slain by a mounted Welsh warrior at the first Battle of Lydney (aged 34).

Sylvester (Spring 1086). Merchant. "We can do a deal". Assassinated as he slept, on the orders of Jean de Caen (aged 38).

Baldwin (Summer 1085). Grog. Deserted with Oswulf to participate in the rebellion of 1081 but captured. After 4 long years tortured horrifically and then hanged on Jean de Caen's orders (aged 24).

Breddyn (Autumn 1084). Grog. Once fought a giant single handedly. Slain by the Radulfus daemon (aged 22).

Myrddor (Autumn 1083). Grog Archer. Schooled by Idris in the old ways. Killed by a bowman's arrow as he attempted to escape imprisonment by climbing over Lydney's walls (aged 26).

Oswulf (Summer 1081). Grog. Deserted with Baldwin to participate in the rebellion of 1081. Banished by the covenant for his actions it is believed he eventually died while fighting the Normans (aged 36).

Gwrnoch (Spring 1081). Grog. A most violent man. Slain by Wulfstan after fleeing the covenant having murdered one of Solis Castle's grog's (aged 29).

Hathra (Spring 1081). Grog. Killed by a grog from Solis Castle (aged 25).
