Description
You approach and you
cannot believe your eyes here is a man of nearly 8' in height His long
brown hair and big bushy beard covers most of his face. His muscles
ripple across his body evidence of his upbringing hauling in the nets
on the shores of Cornwall. His clothes belie his heritage rough and
ready sheepskins and rough cloth rather than the fine linens of the
Latin magi. Around him sound echoes and his voice booms out bouncing
off the walls in a disturbing fashion. His footsteps echo as he walks
betraying his presence even if you could not see his imposing form. His
slow ponderous voice is at times difficult to listen to but he is a
clever man and if you have patience you just might learn something!
Personality
When I arrived at the
covenant my head was full of ideas about how wonderful the idea of
covenant would be, with brother wizards to help with trickier magical
problems in the lab or when combating foes. However I soon realised
that the politics of covenants restrict the possibilities for
interaction and indeed tie the hands of wizards. I now do what is
needed to do the job in hand, if it is distasteful for some to perform
dangerous or odorous duties then let them stay in the covenant to
squabble over words in the charter, I will go and save the covenant
even if it bends a few paltry rules. Now I see that friends inside
these four walls are unlikely as the Latin's dislike me and the
non-Latin's are led by other factors to distrust or dislike me. I will
seek powerful friends from outside these walls and in the mean time
prepare for the time when I might have to say good-bye to these four
walls that are my home for the moment.
Magic
The blood of giants run
strong in my body and there magic will become my magic, at the moment I
am strong in the arts of Rego Muto and Corporem and the ability to
become a 12 foot high giant is already within my power.

the other magi at 1195 AD
Medius
He has become a typical Latin in so
many regards. When he arrived he was fairness above all but now he
judges people and that judgment colors all further interactions.
He dislikes me and abuses his
position on the council using me as a target when he feels he needs to
make his presence felt. He has become entwined in the Jewish magics and
I would severely doubt he would ever rule fairly in a case involving
them and like myself with the Fae magics he might feel drawn out of the
order to protect them. I have learnt that to have two masters is
impossible which is why I have chosen the order over Fae, giants or any
other cause as it is with the order that our only future lies but for
him I know not what the future holds, maybe Crucifixion like Jesus on a
cross of his own making. He has his own agenda and bends the will and
resources of the covenant towards achieving that goal what ever it may
be. His actions regarding Swallowcliffe has endeared him to the
secret society in the order that stands opposed to the infernal
corruption and I am probably just a pawn to him to use and abuse.
Finally I would have to say that he runs the covenant but I cannot say
that he leads it.
Cynfallen
He still acts like the Flambeau he
once was, arrogant and unbending, but he is loyal and I will always
help him as he walked into Arawns halls to save me.
I feel he is like the hounds he
loves, I know not what forced him to leave his house but it must have
been a major challenge to his loyalty to the house or the order. He is
now of my house but I feel he has not yet given his loyalty to the
house. he is loyal to Medius who picks him as hoplite and maybe it was
the shared secret of Swallowcliffe that drew them together like that.
He has become medius' hound in council and with the pontifex feeding
him scraps of respect from the table he licks his arse. I find it hard
to see why he respects him but cynfallen was always one for loyalty.
Since his loss of his familiarr he has become more subdued and
hopefully my plea's to the gods will be answered and his spirits lifted
as he makes a good companion who I would trust with my life on
adventures. If he was given a choice to aid me or Medius I think he
would go with Medius as I have upset him too many times in my time at
Severn temple and therefore I must be careful not to put him in that
position.
Tiarnan
When i had my initial altercation
with Tiarnan over my actions in the fae realm I thought it was he was
jealously guarding it for his own, but now I am not so sure. he seems a
magus who gathers information and powerful allies, but then does
nothing. Maybe I am wrong and he does a lot without us knowing but in
which case why does he ask the council for advice? Maybe he feel he is
superior to us in some way, or maybe he just gathers information like
an old maid sitting in a village square listening to all the gossip so
they feel they know what is going on and more powerful because of it.
He and I are opposites when it comes to that I suppose . I act on
limited information and sometimes I am wrong but sometimes I am
right. He never acts and so is never wrong but is never right either.
when we have asked him to help on covenant matters he does assist as
long as it is not martial. I would think him a coward but he does talk
like a brave man at council. He is undoubtedly a powerful magus but he
does not seem to contribute to the covenant always off on some
secretive mission of which he tells us nothing. He supports me in being
against the church but I would expect nothing less from a merenitan and
although he has killed priests he is not willing to act further. When I
was involved in fae politics he seemed interested in the local fae
regio but he has not gone near it for years. He is a ditherer, never
wishing to commit himself to an action he has no escape route from ,
never taking an action without considering all the consequences and so
never taking action to my knowledge. he dislikes me still and does not
trust me and I admit my mistakes have coloured our relationship badly.
He seems to hold grudges but I care not as I cannot see him ever doing
anything directly. On further thought however I will have to be careful
as he seems to have the ear of many powerful entity's and he could make
my life very difficult with a few unctuous words.
Marius
Young, inexperienced and walking a
dangerous path, I have little to do with him but he seems a good man
who cares for his people. In taking the mantle of king he has taken a
big risk but I admire that in him for sometimes big risks are
necessary. He seems the most universally popular magus but that might
because he has spent most of his life outside covenant not worrying or
causing problems for his sodales. Indeed it is my opinion that the path
he is walking will either lead to him being lauded as a hero of the
tribunal or killed with little if any middle ground. because he is so
personalble and the fact that I have few if any allies in council I
will aid him as and when I can. If he wants my advise I will aid him as
his aims help the order and my house.
