Background
The oldest covenant in the Tribunal and always a little chaotic. Nestled among the high hills of north Wales, Cad Gadu is a large fortified covenant. With a large freshwater lake nearby and an old forest around it, Cad Gadu is an easy place to live and work. More accessible than Blackthorn, Cad Gadu has built reasonable relations with local mundanes and outsiders. There is always an air of energy at the covenant, which is always hectic with activity. Cad Gadu is the richest covenant for vis in the Tribunal, rivalling many of the older covenants in the Order. Drawing nearly a Queen of vis each year from a wide variety of sites, even the apprentices are allowed to study from vis. A huge oak tree, said to be some 600 years old, dominates the centre of the covenant. The tree produces dozens of large silvery acorns each year. Each acorn is a pawn of Herbam vis. In contrast to the formidable vis reserves, the covenant has a very under-developed library.
Recent history
Until recently the magus Jordael was Primus of House Ex Miscellanea, but this all changed when Llanoddwyn returned from a long period of absence. This is the third time that Llanoddwyn has held the title of Primus. The last time he stepped down when Primus Haestus of Flambeau challenged him to wizard's war and forced him into hiding. Few expect his current tenure as Primus to be less eventful.
Visitors' library
The visitors' library is relatively poor, though it has a lot of non-hermetic works.
